“The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.”

~Russell M. Nelson

Welcome!

Sometimes life finds us at the bottom of a canyon. It may be by a personal choice of bravery or a tragic fall off the path of safety.

Whether divorce, a diagnosis, a new job, a disability, loss of a loved one, a life circumstance we never saw coming-life comes with pain. Emotional, physical, mental and spiritual pain is a part of this journey.

These circumstances often come upon us quickly and we find that pain lingers in an unexpected way in the cavities of our lives. We find ourselves in a waiting room of sorts. Waiting to heal, wondering if it is even possible, questioning the physicians who treat us, medical doctors, therapists, and spiritual advisors.

This is a space to wait. To come and sit, question, and learn.

I believe that we can still find joy in the storms of our life. That the God who controls the winds and the waves, can silence the storms in our lives.

His joy and peace can come to us in a lonely hospital room, in the depths of grief, while folding laundry and doing dishes, in the commute to work, and even, and perhaps most especially, in our darkest nights and personal storms.

For life is full of canyons and gracefully, Praise the Lord, life is also full of healing, peace, second chances and space to seek His joy.

About Me

Hi, I’m Morgan! Previously, a Kindergarten teacher, turned stay-at-home mom of 3. When I am not writing or reading, I love to sing, walk my dogs, and hang out with my husband and kids. I love coming alongside people in their journey to find hope. I believe we were made to have joy even DURING the hard. If we look for the hand of God in our lives, we will see Him working everyday for our good. We have a purpose and calling to live in JOY. Let’s discover how, together.

Hang out with me
